As we live, we make discoveries,
about the many roles we play...
and we wonder if we’ve managed
to make a difference along the way.
The people that we’ve met,
have we touched their lives for good?
Have we given what we have
to help others as we should?
There comes a time to rejoice,
and there comes a time to mourn...
because the losses from our past
allow the future to be born.
The depth of who we are
is derived from where we’ve been...
we may have been a victim,
but we can be victorious again.
God builds our strength through trials
and we can still find peace inside...
as each new day is dawning,
God’s steadfast love abides.
