Slowing down is never easy
when we have so much to do
It takes an act of God sometimes
to get the message through.
As the winter storm is raging
in a town so pressed for time
I wonder if it’s meant to be
God’s supernatural sign.
As the fireplace gently crackles
and schools have all closed down
it’s a very rare occasion
to have our family all around.
We’ve been caught up in "busyness"
with deadlines to be met
we’ve had our engines set on high
and our shedules firmly set.
Thank you God for showing us
what we’ve forgotten how to do...
spending time alone with family
and taking time for You.
