Once upon a pale moon rise
In a place called paradise
A lady knelt and wept with grief
And she was called the Lady Eve

Why are you kneeling down and crying
Could it be the day is dying?
When nightfall comes to hide the sun
Then who shall be the lonely one?

Heaven help a poor sad lady
That must leave her grove so shady
To wander worlds both high and low
Looking for some place to go

Where oh where can my heart be?
I left him weeping by a tree
His eyes so blind with tears of woe
He did not even see me go

Once upon a pale moon rise
A bolt of light fell from the skies
Goodbye Eden, so far away
We'll meet again another day
